Wedding in Óbidos

When Catarina and David contacted me to photograph their wedding, I was immediately thrilled!

The combination of nature, good taste, and natural light made me even more excited. The venue they chose was Rio do Prado, one of the most beautifully integrated places in nature. It features eucalyptus wood shutters, wooden cladding (which I especially love), and a completely natural atmosphere with a touch of elegance and modernity, all while maintaining its simplicity.

Rio do Prado is located near the village of Óbidos and is one of the most incredible places I have ever photographed. Both the bride and groom got ready there with their friends and family. The ceremony took place at the Church of São Pedro, which was fully rebuilt after the earthquake of 1755. I particularly love the entrance to this church because, being in the centre of the village, the locals feel the wedding atmosphere and everyone congratulates the couple.

After the ceremony, everyone returned to Rio do Prado for the cocktail, where the couple enjoyed a wonderful late afternoon with their guests amidst the natural surroundings.

When it was time for dinner, it almost felt like a scene from a film. The dinner was held in a stunning greenhouse surrounded by plants, with bonfires, live music, and a magical atmosphere blending nature and elegance.

The cake cutting took place outdoors under a spectacular night sky, with a beautiful cake designed by Brigadeirando.

The evening went on into the night thanks to the Jukebox team, who provided spectacular lighting and music that kept everyone dancing.

It was such a pleasure to capture Catarina and David’s wedding. A very special thank you to them for trusting my work.
